JAPAN TRIP
May 6-19, 2016Departed Seattle at 12:10 on 10 hour Delta flight nonstop to Tokyo (Narita airport). At the airport I was met by an OAT rep who gave me a ticket for the airport shuttle to T-CAT(Tokyo City Air Terminal). Then I took a taxi to the hotel. The taxi had lace seat covers and the drive wore white gloves.
I was met at the hotel by our trip leader Akiko. Tokyo time is 16 hours ahead of Seattle, but I went to bed early as I'd been up a long time by then. The room was small by US standards, but adequate with many amenities, including an air cleaner (which I later discovered was in every hotel room we stayed in).
View of the Tokyo Skytree from the hotel:
The 634 meter Tokyo Skytree is the tallest tower in Japan. The tower is
the primary television and radio broadcast site for Kanto region.
