Today starts week 5 of the mystery Quilt of Valor. I'm starting to like it a little more, but it still has a lot of negative space. Since it's still only 3'x5' I suspect there will be quite a width of bands around the outside. Quilts of Valor must be at least 55" wide and 65" long.

I'm thinking of starting another Mystery Quilt of Valor at a different website. It starts Saturday so I should go get fabric for it tomorrow. Although I have quite a stash, I don't have much in red/white/blue.

New Kayak

I finally got my kayak this summer.

Here is the beginning of the Quilt of Valor. First we make 8 blocks like this.

I decided to do this quilt along. All we were told was that it was going to be a Quilt of Valor and the yardage to buy. Every week we'll be given more instructions and more of the quilt will be revealed.

Ellie's Haircut

It was starting to get hot so we took Ellie to the doggie beautyshop and had her haircut.

Beth and Brendon's Wedding

Beth and Brendon were married in San Diego on June 9, 2012.  The Bray family's friend, Dr. Robert Szabo, officiated.
